WE'VE MOVED!!!

Dear Friends, Fans and Family:

After eight wonderfully fruitful years spent teaching together at Sacramento State University, we've relocated this summer and are new residents of Greeley, Colorado, where Kerry will be directing the top vocal jazz ensembles and teaching jazz classes at the University of Northern Colorado this fall!

We are now officially up and running again out of our new home recording studio, and while Kerry takes UNC by storm, I'll also be teaching jazz voice as an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan State University in Denver. Metro State will be launching its brand new Bachelor of Music in Jazz and American Improvised Music Performance Concentration degree program this fall.

Aside from relocating to begin our new teaching jobs here, Kerry and I spent a good part of this summer mixing and mastering our new forthcoming Vertical Voices album, along with our dear friends, alto Jennifer Barnes and bass Greg Jasperse. Our debut CD as a vocal quartet will be released in January 2014, coinciding with our headlining performance at the JEN (Jazz Education Network) Conference in Dallas, TX on Saturday, January 11 at 8 pm. We are very excited at the opportunity to perform music from our new album in front of such a highly respected, prime time audience!!

After having sung with the UNC jazz faculty rhythm section for our recent "accidental" opening performance for Take 6 at the Greeley Jazz Festival last spring, Dana Landry (piano), Erik Applegate (bass), Steve Kovalcheck (guitar) and Jim White (drums) have generously agreed to accompany us again at our JEN 2014 performance this January. We are very excited be able to call these incredible musicians and educators our friendly new neighbors, along with the very talented and capable faculty and staff members. WHAT A WELCOME IT'S BEEN!!

Many, many thanks to our excellent musical communities in both Sacramento and Greeley for your support in our transition into this brand new chapter in our lives.

More updates to follow as new and exciting things begin to unfold.. Stay tuned!!
